I’m not even going to pretend to be chill about this.
Because GIRL.
This? This is the kind of chaos I manifested, cried over, worked through, and low-key demanded from the universe.
I went viral on Instagram.
And before you get excited thinking I’ve hit millions - relax. It was around 250k views.
I KNOW. I KNOW.
You’re probably thinking, “that’s cute, but is it viral-viral?”
Let me tell you something… those 250k views did more for Dope Soul Village than the tens of millions (yes, plural) of views I’ve had on TikTok.
Millions of views on TikTok = vibes, comments, a little ego boost.
250k on Instagram = actual sales, actual growth, actual momentum.
So while TikTok still has a seat at the table… she’s no longer running the house.
One Video. That’s All It Took.
It wasn’t even some big, overthought campaign.
One video kicked it all off.
And since then? It’s just been this steady, slightly unhinged flow of orders coming in like:
“Hi, yes, we’ll take everything you’ve got.”
I woke up the other day to 1000+ orders.
OVER ONE THOUSAND.
Do you know what that does to your nervous system before coffee??
Because mine is still recovering.
It’s been manic. Beautiful. Slightly feral. But mostly just… surreal.
Forget Marketing Agencies - Apparently It Was Just My Face 😌
Let’s talk about it.
I gained more followers in 4 weeks than I did with any of the marketing agencies I paid last year.
And I made more sales too.
So what’s the strategy?
Apparently… my face, my voice, my energy - and all the crows and witches flocking to the account like it’s a full moon gathering.
Honestly? Iconic behaviour.
Turns out people don’t want overly polished, corporate nonsense.
They want real. They want personality. They want something that actually feels like a person, not a brand pretending to be one.
Behind the Scenes: Controlled Chaos
While all of this is happening, real life is still real life.
I’m currently on holiday with my kids (because balance, always), while the team back home are working their absolute arses off getting your orders out.
If things are a tiny bit slower than usual - just know:
-
It’s half term
-
There’s a bank holiday
-
And the postal system loves a bit of drama
So bear with us. We’re on it, I promise.
The Bigger Picture (Because This Was Never Just About Clothes)
Here’s the part that matters most to me.
Dope Soul Village was never just about selling products.
The goal has always been bigger.
When I’m back from holiday, I’m going to start viewing buildings for our first shelter.
For women.
For children.
For their pets (because yes, that matters and yes, we’re doing it properly).
That’s where this is all heading.
That’s what your orders are supporting.
Let’s Be Real Though…
This isn’t cheap. Not even close.
We’re still a way off raising everything we need, but one thing about me?
If I say it’s happening - it’s happening.
I’m aiming for our first shelter to open around October/November.
And the best part? We’ve got an incredible team of lawyers volunteering their services, which means:
-
Less delays
-
Less stress
-
More momentum
Everything is aligning.
Final Thoughts (aka me being a bit soft for a second)
This whole thing… it’s not lost on me.
The support. The orders. The messages. The way you’ve all just shown up.
It’s not just “going viral”.
It’s building something real. Something that actually changes lives.
So thank you.
Genuinely.
Welcome to Dope Soul Village.
Welcome to your village.
