A Week in My Life – Chaos, Councils & Cyber Monday

I thought I’d let you lot know what I’ve been up to this week.
Yes, it’s Thursday night. Yes, I’m only just sitting down to write this.
And yes, it’s been a week that feels approximately seven years long.

Mum Life x3 (Plus the Zoo)

Apart from the usual: being mum to three kids—17, 4, and newly-turned 3—I’m also a mother to four pets. Three cats and an INSANE German Shepherd who is currently in her first heat.
So, you know… FUN TIMES.
Imagine trying to run two organisations while also dodging a horny, confused police-dog-in-training who thinks she’s the queen of the household.

Business Bits: Orders, Stock & Supplier Shenanigans

I’ve smashed a few orders this week and actually got them out in record time. Look at me, being all professional and organised.
Of course, in true Dope Soul Village fashion, the only merch that sells is the merch I never have in stock. So I’m back to ordering everything directly from the supplier. One day I’ll crack the system… today is not that day.

Fundraisers Incoming!

The next few weeks are packed with fundraisers—YAYYYY—and honestly, I can’t wait. These events are going to get Dope Soul Village and Finally Free CIC firmly on the map.
We’re doing big things, and the world is about to notice.

Meetings, Councils & Funding (AKA Being a Grown-Up)

I’ve had a few meetings with the council to get approved for funding, and it’s looking very promising.
They loved my plan, were saddened by my story, and unfortunately weren’t shocked by it—because what I’ve been through is far too common for women in this country.
But they believe in what I’m building, and that matters.

I’ve also spoken to a few military charities who LOVE my plan. Turns out, everyone can see that more needs to be done—they just needed someone stubborn enough to actually do it.

Police, Petty Thieves & Glass Houses

Unfortunately, I’ve had to speak to the police this week too, because some “customer” has tried stealing from my business. Like… who does that?!
And now she’s slandering me on my posts as well.
Has she never heard of: you don’t throw stones when you live in a massive glass house?
Woman… you do not want to fuck with me. Seriously. I am not the one.

Birthday Boy Turns 3

Today we celebrated my son’s third birthday.
My little munchkin was absolutely living his best life surrounded by cars and dinosaurs.
He’s such a gentle soul and loved every single second of his party. ❤️

Shelters, Strategy & Women Who Don’t Quit

Jasmin and I have been planning and working behind the scenes on finally opening these women’s shelters. And trust me—we’re close.
No matter how many people try to stop us (yes, I’ve actually got haters trying to stop me opening domestic violence shelters—imagine that), nothing will slow us down.
Why are they trying?
Oh, because I set boundaries.
But don’t worry. Bitter little scam artists will never stop me. Their jealousy is my caffeine.
I’m petty like that.

Black Friday & Cyber Monday Begin

Of course, Black Friday and Cyber Monday have kicked off today, so the next week is going to be absolutely mental with orders.
But I’m still going to push myself to post more consistently across all socials. ADHD be damned.

YouTube, Stories & Speaking Our Truths

We’re also moving onto YouTube soon—reading survivor stories, posting our podcast episodes, and sharing all the things social media platforms seem allergic to.
If they won’t give women a voice, we’ll build our own megaphone.

The Future Looks Bright (And Busy)

Amazing things are happening behind the scenes.
